120-Summary Report
The 120th EDIFICE Conference was held on 4-5 July 2013 in Singapore. The conference was hosted by Hewlett Packard and was co-sponsored by Seeburger.
The theme covered: “B2B Challenges and Level of B2B Integration across Asia-Pac “
The Conference featured great contributions from Avago Technologies, Hewlett Packard, Infineon, Seeburger and Vishay. The audience very actively contributed in the break-out sessions around SME B2B Capability Assessment and Expectations from the Region. The enliteB2B workshop from EDIFICE provided more insight into the methodology and created great interest from the audience. enliteB2B was perceived as a valuable solution for SMEs to become B2B enabled.

EDIFICE Activities
At the Conference, the audience was given a detailed overview of the current activities being worked in the EDIFICE Task Groups. The groups all seek closer collaboration with the companies based in Asia and the Americas to ensure that local requirements are covered. One of the activities in the Distribution Channel Space relate to the development of B2B message guidelines for the DESIGN WIN process both for X12 and EDIFACT.
enliteB2B: as a reslut of the Workshop @ Singapore conference, the Purchase Order example (guideline + example) are available on community.edifice.org enliteB2B GROUP.
The consolidated feedback from the SME B2B assessment session will be made available and will serve a basis for the newly created Task Group. The lead of the activity is with Simon Lai of CrimsonLogic eTrade. Membership will receive an invitation to join.

EDIFICE Organization
Elections:
James Hatcher of Seeburger was elected as Chair of the EDIFICE Asia Chapter. He will hold this finction for the next two years. Together with his local team, James will expand the activities and membership of EDIFICE in the Asia-Pac Region. The member companies actively contributing to the Asia Chapter are: Cisco, CrimsonLogic eTrade Services, Fairchild, GXS, Seeburger and Vishay. Other member companies are very welcome to join the team.
The audience clearly stated that a next conference should be organized ASAP. It was proposed to look at the November time frame. The preferred locations are: Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, India, Thailand.
Lindsay Goile and Hewlett Packard are thanked to host this EDIFICE conference at their premises in Singapore. James Hatcher and Seeburger were thanked for sponsoring the great dinner on Thursday evening.
