Texas Instruments, founding member of EDIFICE, publishes its SC B2B Guidelines which are documents designed to aid the trading partners of Texas Instruments in the implementation of B2B commerce. These documents are provided to let TI’s trading partners know what data is required by TI’s application systems; they are intended as guides, not as contracts by which either party is bound.
The publication of TI’s guidelines have been stored on the EDIFICE site since 2005. The idea of making actual utilizations available was re-launched at the past conferences in Brussels and San Jose as a result of the B2B standards usage survey that was conducted earlier this year.
The main message was that the membership and partners are convinced that EDI is here to stay. Making the actual usage of complex standard B2B messages available, will benefit all parties.
The Texas Instruments B2B Message Repository is available here.
